prepping for installation
Prior to your tile installation, a member of our team will have completed a measurement and walkthrough of the room(s) in question so as to get a feel for the space. During this time, you can also ask any questions that you might have about the installation process, timetables, and how the work will be completed.
We ask that you work to remove any and all furniture from the rooms where the installation will take place before our crew arrives. You should also ensure that there is a clear plan for the subflooring, removal of current flooring, and any waste that may present itself during the installation itself. It is also a good idea to ensure that children and pets are not present on installation day. Tile installation may be more complex than other types of flooring.
during the installation
During the tile installation, plan to vacate the rooms where the work is taking place. But don't go too far, as our crew needs someone over the age of 18 to present during the installation. While the method of installation may vary from job to job, the general process will involve our team preparing the subflooring, mixing the mortar and laying the initial row of tiles, and then continuing the lay the remaining rows and edges. From there, your crew will focus on grouting and sealing your tile floors.
