Prepping For Installation
Prior to your vinyl installation, a member of our team will have completed a measurement and walkthrough of the room(s) in question so as to get a feel for the space. During this time, you can also ask any questions that you might have about the installation process, timetables, and how the work will be completed.
We ask that you work to remove any and all furniture from the rooms where the installation will take place before our crew arrives. You should also ensure that there is a clear plan for the subflooring, removal of current flooring, and any waste that may present itself during the installation itself. It is also a good idea to ensure that children and pets are not present on installation day. Vinyl flooring may take longer than other flooring options, but we will remain communicative throughout the process.
During The Installation
During the tile installation, plan to vacate the rooms where the work is taking place. But don't go too far, as our crew needs someone over the age of 18 to present during the installation. The method of installation may vary depending on whether you're opting for LVT or LVP. For both LVT and LVP, there is a floating, click-and-lock installation method that is done without adhesives and can sometimes be done over your existing flooring and a glue-down installation method.
With LVT or LVP, the process will start with laying the first row of planks/tiles before moving on to the other rows. When this is completed, the crew will look at seams and transitions and apply their finishing touches.
